According to the mental health charity Mind spending time outdoors and reconnecting with nature can ‘benefit both your mental and physical wellbeing, it can improve your mood, reduce feelings of stress, make you feel more relaxed, improve your physical health, help activity levels, improve your confidence and help you make new connections with people’
Spending more time taking care of ourselves is something we need to focus on. Too often we are focusing on others or dealing with the stresses of a busy life leaving our own physical and mental health to suffer.
Here’s how a stay at Cosy can revitalise your health and well being
Physical and mental space
Here at Cosy Under Canvas you have the physical space to clear your body and mind. All our domes are evenly spread out around the woods surrounded by trees so you have your own little pocket of privacy. But shared spaces are equally important so we’ve created a kitchen, lounge and Cosy Corner where you can spend time with your loved ones or take time to make new friends.
Create your own adventures
An outdoor holiday experience gives you the freedom to choose how you spend your day. Busy hectic lives are dictated by the schedules of work or school. Here it’s up to you….Walk, hike, cycle, run, canoe, horse ride or just be. Your time here can be as deeply relaxing or as exciting and active as you like. You choose.
Around our site the kids can roam. It’s small and safe but spacious enough for them to be autonomous. They can play their own games and make their own friends in the den, the mud kitchen, the stream or in their own hammock. They can enjoy childhood freedom often lost in todays over protective society.
Soak away your cares
Imagine a day of relaxing in your very own wood fired hot tub surrounded by countryside and the sounds of nature. The bliss of a book or a glass of bubbles in a steamy tub is the ultimate antidote to our hectic lifestyles.
Admire the night sky
And as dark falls absorb all that the night sky has to offer. Cosy Under Canvas is on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park which is a designated dark sky reserve. There is no light pollution and we never cease to be amazed at the shooting stars and meteor showers that it’s very easy to spot here.
There is no phone signal and no wifi here. Initially you may feel lost without access to online living and find yourself picking up your phone, but this habit can be broken, here you have time to enjoy life without the stress of the screen and social media pressure.
