We love a bit of romance here at Cosy. Over the years we've set up marriage proposals, hosted engagement parties, anniversaries and a wedding.
With St Dwynwen's Day, a special day for romance in Wales, and Valentine’s Day approaching, we thought we’d inspire you with how to treat your loved one at Cosy Under Canvas...
1. Picnic by the river
Hire a canoe for two and paddle down the River Wye. Take a picnic full of tasty treats and pick a secluded spot on your very own river beach.
You could even pop in some aphrodisiac foods like watermelon, avocado, chocolate, chilli, figs & celery to really spark the romance!
2. Take a sunset walk
Watching the sun go down makes for the most romantic of evenings. Climb our personal favourite, Hay Bluff for breath taking views of the sun setting over the Brecon Beacons.
We can let you know the time of the sunset that day to make sure your timing is just right.
3. Enjoy a romantic dinner
The simple exterior of both the Felin Fach Griffin and The Stag at Titley gives way to a cosy candlelit gastropub serving tantalisingly tasty, locally sourced, great quality food.
Perfect for romance and both just a 20 minute drive from our site.
Don't want to move from your dome? Kick back on site with only eyes for each other!
4. Soak up the romance in your hot tub
Spend quality time relaxing together in your very own steamy wood-fired hot tub.
Take in a bottle of something bubbly and soak away your cares under the stars. Bliss!
5. Treat yourselves to a relaxing massage
Light the stove in your dome, cosy up on the sheepskins and enjoy a massage.
Book one of our highly recommended personal massage or reflexology therapists just for you. Ask us for details.
6. Stare at the stars
What could be more romantic than gazing at the stars together? Get cosy in blankets round your campfire, reconnect and take in the amazing skies above.
The National Parks' dark sky status means on a clear night you can see the Milky Way, meteor showers and even nebulas.
7. Read romantic literature
Explore Hay On Wye, the famous town of books. Choose your favourite and sit in contented silence or read aloud to each other for more vivid characters and tangible adventures.
If you're not sure where to start, we've found this list of read aloud suggestions from Book Riot that we're going to try for ourselves.
