Paying for your holiday
In light of the recent Covid-19 situation we have changed our T&C's to allow guests to make a booking with a lower deposit and a lesser time before final payment is due. For this season the deposit requirement will be 20% not the usual 50% and the final payment will be due 10 days prior to arrival not 4 weeks.
Changing or cancelling a booking
The deposit is still non refundable.
After you have paid a deposit, if you need to change the date of your booking you may do so within 2 days of making the booking for free, subject to availability and to the rate relevant for the new dates.
After you have paid a deposit and after 2 days of making a booking, if you need to change the date of your booking you may do so and we will charge £50 admin fee per dome or your full deposit, whichever is lower. This is also subject to availability and to the rate relevant for the new dates.
After you have paid a deposit, if you need to cancel your booking completely we will charge a £50 fee per dome or your full deposit whichever is lowest and offer a refund for the rest of your deposit only if the dome can be re-booked. If the dome cannot be rebooked you will forfeit your deposit.
If the government impose another travel ban, national or localised we will amend the dates of your booking free of charge but subject to availability and to the rate relevant for the new dates.
No changes to bookings can be made or refunds given after final payment is received.
Please note we cannot be held responsible for refunds or expenses you incur in the event that you are unable to commit to your holiday.
Please also note that we cannot be held responsible for refunds or expenses that you incur in the event that we are prevented from fulfilling your booking as a result of circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events ("Force Majeure").
Bookings made through the online booking system are provisional until confirmed by Cosy Under Canvas.
Your booking must be paid for in full 10 days prior to the beginning of your holiday, non payment of the balance will be considered a cancellation so please make a note to remind yourself.
Travel insurance is available for and is recommended for holidays within the UK. We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover all eventualities.
A refundable mess, noise and damage deposit is required from groups booking 2 domes or more. This is £250 for the stream-side site and £350 for the woodland site and is payable with the final balance.
This deposit will be refunded within one week of your stay on the basis that the site is left clean and tidy and no damage has been caused and there has been no excess noise. If we need to come to the site to ask you to be quiet then we will automatically deduct money from your deposit.
Arriving at Cosy Under Canvas
Check in is strictly 4pm to 8pm, if you would like to arrive before 4pm or after 8pm please call in advance to arrange and we will do our best to accommodate you. This may not be possible during busy seasons.

On arrival at Cosy Under Canvas please park in the car park and load your luggage into the large wheelbarrows provided. Follow the signs or use the map provided on our website to locate your dome. If you are unsure of which dome you are staying in please pop up the track to the house or see one of us in the woods to ask for assistance.
When you have found your dome unpack and make yourselves at home, read the arrival info in the dome and explore the site or make a cuppa! Myself or one of my colleagues will come round the site regularly between 4pm and 8pm to have a chat, answer any questions and offer help with firelighting etc.

Take care during your stay
We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal possessions or vehicles. The dome doors cannot be locked, so keep valuables with you at all times.
Guests must take full responsibility for any children in their group. Children using swings and hammocks must not be left unattended and do so at their own risk.
The woodland boundary is a fence but there are a couple of gates and stiles that lead into the wetland area. This area has a running steam plus a couple of drainage tributaries. You are more than welcome to explore the wetland area but please ensure that children are supervised at all times.
The very nature of camping in a woodland means that there are hazards to be aware of at all times. Please be careful of your footing over fallen branches, be careful at the edge of the decks, watch out on wooden surfaces as they can be slippery when wet and take care wandering round the site at night.
Every effort has been made to ensure guests safety but we cannot accept responsibility for any accidental injuries.
Campfires and stoves
Fires should be kept small and manageable and can only be lit in designated areas. These areas are the wood burning stove inside your dome, the chiminea on the deck of your dome, the fire pit in front of your dome, inside the hot tub stove and inside the pizza oven.
A generous amount of kindling and wood is provided and this can be found in the wood store on the edge of your deck. Additional wood can be purchased during your stay for £10 for a crate. Boxes of kindling and eco firelighters are also available to purchase.
The lighting of fires can be dangerous and extreme caution must be exercised at all times, we can not accept liability for injuries caused by the building of or lighting of a fire.
A fire lighting guide is provided in each dome and fire extinguishers are provided for your safety. If you are unsure as to how to light a fire after reading the instructions please ask.
In the unlikely event that a fire becomes out of control due to negligence and a fire extinguisher is used a £200 clear up fee will be charged. Damage to property in the event of a fire will be charged at cost.
Fire guards can be provided for the stoves inside each unit, please ask if you would like to borrow one free of charge
Strictly No Smoking inside the domes.
Consideration for other guests
Strictly no amplified music in the woods please.
All noise to a minimum after 10pm (midnight for groups that have booked the whole site), especially if there are families with children staying too. Noise travels in the countryside and you may be surprised how much can be heard!
Communal areas to be kept clean and tidy at all times. Please wash up your pots and pans and leave the kitchen in the same condition that you would like to find it.
If you are bringing your dog with you please ensure that you clear up after it using the poo bags provided and keep it under control at all times. It is also polite to check that other guests are happy with dogs. If any of your fellow guests have a fear of dogs please be mindful of this and keep dogs on a lead.
Mobile and wifi
There is no electricity in the site itself. There are electric sockets available for the charge of your devices in the shower room but these should not be left unattended as we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to these items.
There is no mobile phone signal at the site but an emergency phone is available at the house, Dolbedwyn. If there is no one in at the house the phone will be in the post box next to the front door of the house.
Wifi is available at the house, so let us know if you’d like to connect to download emails etc
Check out is strictly 10.00am. Please settle any outstanding balances before you leave.
You can use the wheelbarrows provided to load up your car before you leave and please let us know if you would like any help transporting your luggage.
